Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership, responsible for a specific area of the store and overall operations when acting as Manager on Duty.

The role includes opening/closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, and ensuring proper merchandising and cleanliness across the store. Strong supervisory and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain safe, secure, and clean store environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Lead and train associates on store policies and Front End procedures.
• Conduct cash handling, payroll-related tasks, and compliance with loss prevention efforts.
• Assist with merchandising, signing, and floor moves as required.
• Oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty when needed.
