Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined area of the store as part of Store Leadership. You will open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment while ensuring proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area.

You will execute and supervise company processes, manage front-end operations, train cashiers, and support loss prevention and stockroom activities. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Experience supervising store staff.
• Familiar with POS systems and checkout equipment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to maintain store standards and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store associates and manage daily operations.
• Open and close the store, and ensure a safe environment.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Oversee front-end operations and cashier training.
• Assist with loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Coordinate stockroom and merchandising tasks.
• Perform payroll and administrative duties per Store Manager.
