Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and overall store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment with strong merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities include leading front-end operations, training cashiers, and enforcing housekeeping and loss prevention standards to minimize shrink and maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and manage operations as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation is clean, organized and aligned with standards.
• Maintain safe and secure store environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Lead front-end operations, train cashiers, and manage lines to reduce wait time.
• Assist with payroll and scheduling, and support store leadership as needed.
• Ensure loss prevention practices and compliance with company policies.
