Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations when the Manager on Duty is away. You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, ensure a friendly shopping environment, and execute company processes.

You will maintain merchandising standards, safety, and loss prevention, train staff, and support front-end and stockroom duties while delivering excellent Customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure store environment and executes company processes.
• Opens and closes the store as Manager on Duty and supervises Associates.
• Ensures friendly shopping experience, merchandising standards and clean work areas.
• Trains and coaches staff on front end duties, stockroom tasks and loss prevention.
• Manages back-stock, receipts, signage and daily task delegation.
• Supports store leadership in delivering excellent customer service and operations.
