Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor who will oversee a specific store area and general operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure clean, well-merchandised conditions, and uphold safety and security standards.

In this role you will train associates on cash handling, drive front-end efficiency, and ensure compliance with merchandising and loss prevention policies. Evening and weekend availability is required to support store needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and secure environment on the sales floor.
• Open and close the store and supervise associates as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Train and coach front-end cashiers on registers and policies.
• Execute company Best Practices to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Lead front-end operations and manage customer lines to reduce wait times.
