Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist with general store operations as Manager on Duty.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, ensure merchandise is presented well, and keep a clean, easy-to-shop environment while enforcing company processes. This role emphasizes safety, loss prevention, front-end supervision, and collaboration with store leadership to deliver exceptional customer service and efficient store performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Represent and support the Company brand; ensure merchandise presentation and cleanliness.
• Lead in loss prevention and safety; enforce store policies and procedures.
• Oversee front-end operations and ensure efficient customer service and checkout.
• Coordinate merchandising, stockroom organization, and floor moves.
• Deliver coaching, training, and performance feedback to staff.
