Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and assist in store operations. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a welcoming, well-merchandised shopping environment.

You’ll ensure adherence to safety, loss prevention, and company standards throughout daily activities. The role requires supervising staff, organizing stockrooms, and supporting the Manager on Duty to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority and supervise store operations accordingly.
• Supervise Associates and manage store area when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes with adherence to Best Practices.
• Train and coach front-end cash handling, shorten lines, and manage cashier operations.
• Oversee stockroom organization, receiving, plus back-stock and loss prevention responsibilities.
