Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations when the Manager on Duty is not present. This role emphasizes safe and secure environments, excellent customer service, and maintaining brand standards.

The Area Supervisor will open/close the store, supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandise presentation, and uphold company processes across merchandising, front-end operations, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure shopping environment for customers and Associates.
• Supervises Store Associates and oversees operations during Manager on Duty shifts.
• Ensures merchandise presentation, cleanliness, and stockroom organization to company standards.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures to meet friendliness and productivity standards.
• Manages front-end pace, line control, and customer service at checkout points.
• Oversees receipt of merchandise and back-stock processing; supports merchandising of departments.
