Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic computer competency.
• Ability to use sterilization and monitoring equipment.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or CRCST required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in interviewing candidates and recommends the most suitable hires.
• Assists manager with coordinating SPD staff and oversees workflow.
• Sets up daily work assignments and approves overtime as needed.
• Monitors activities of SPD staff for efficient operation.
• Assists in updating job descriptions for the department.
• Communicates shift issues to manager and suggests policy improvements.
• Coordinates with Clinical Engineering and vendors for equipment servicing.
• Oversees inventory, ensures supplies are available for cases.
