Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification CSPDT required within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Thorough knowledge of sterilization principles and AAMI standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates personnel to allocate work, orient and train staff, and motivate employees for peak performance.
• Collaborates with physicians, RNs and Surgical Technicians to support OR needs, handling supplies and equipment for surgical cases.
• Assesses distribution of sterilized supplies and coordinates with involved areas to improve frequency and effectiveness.
• Maintains attendance records and process improvement documentation for SPD.
• Maintains a safe environment by enforcing universal precautions and PPE usage.
