Job summary

Summit Electric Supply is seeking candidates for the Sonepar Training for Emerging Professionals (STEP) Associate program across multiple Summit locations. The program offers rotational development, hands-on experience, and exposure to operations, sales, procurement, logistics, and e‑Commerce, building future leaders for Sonepar USA.

Participants gain broad business exposure, with mentorship, site visits, and leadership development within Summit and its Operating Companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Previous internship, co-op, leadership, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in warehouse operations, distribution processes, and logistics to understand the business.
• Build relationships with vendors in assigned markets to promote products.
• Maintain communication with customers and technical support to identify issues and support sales goals.
• Train customers and associates on products, features, and applications.
• Analyze sales data and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage projects by understanding needs and presenting recommendations.
• Research strategic initiatives and prepare presentations for management and executives.
• Participate in training and site visits representing the local Operating Company.
