Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, Ohio is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) for the 5th Floor Intermediate at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

The role delivers high-quality nursing care, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, and serves as a care-coordination liaison among Med-Surg and ICU units. Qualifications include a RN license, BSN preferred, BLS or ACLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• BSN preferred, not required.
• 1 year RN experience; 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates outcomes.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
