Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, MI is seeking a Progressive Care RN for the 5th Floor Intermediate at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

The role delivers compassionate nursing care, assesses patient status, and coordinates care between Med-Surg and ICU to support safe, effective outcomes. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, develop and implement care plans, administer medications safely, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS required within 6 months of hire).
• 1 year of RN experience (required); 6 months in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.
