Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Warren, Ohio is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. You will provide exceptional nursing care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the Med-Surg and ICU teams to coordinate care.

The 30-bed unit cares for cardiac and pulmonary patients, including ventilator-dependent cases. We maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and support growth with mentorship, benefits, and a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, not required.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• ACLS or BLS certification preferred; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care patients.
• Assess patient status and develop care plans.
• Coordinate care across Med-Surg and ICU as needed.
• Administer medications safely and document appropriately.
• Support patient safety and participate in quality improvement.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
