Job summary

Haworth Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for the Big Rapids, MI steel plant to lead a manufacturing team, oversee daily operations, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3 years of manufacturing experience with 2 years in supervision; strong Lean skills and effective communication are essential for Haworth's collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field of study.
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education.
• Work Experience: 3 years related experience.
• Supervisor experience: 2 years supervisory experience.
• Military Equivalency per mynextmove.
• Internal Candidates: Supervisory or other leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee production tasks, ensuring clear work instructions, quality standards, and production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, promoting engagement, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment with open communication and teamwork.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean tools to improve efficiency, quality, and costs.
• Manage team resources and budget to optimize production efficiency and control costs.
• Monitor production performance and provide feedback against goals.
• Supervise a team of manufacturing members on a day-to-day basis.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
• Uses office automation and Haworth office tools.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
