Job summary

Haworth Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for the Big Rapids, MI steel plant to lead a manufacturing team, oversee daily operations, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3 years of manufacturing experience with 2 years in supervision; strong Lean skills and effective communication are essential for Haworth's collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field of study.
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education.
• Work Experience: 3 years related experience.
• Supervisor experience: 2 years supervisory experience.
• Military Equivalency per mynextmove.
• Internal Candidates: Supervisory or other leadership experience.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team in Big Rapids, MI.

Schedule: 230 pm - 1230 am M-F & Saturday 130 pm - 1130 pm

Training Schedule: 1st Shift 4-6 Weeks

Job Overview

Supervise a team to manufacture high-quality products on schedule and within budget. Oversee daily production activities, prioritize tasks, and address production issues related to machinery and processes.

Essential Functions

• Assign and oversee production tasks:Assign and oversee production tasks, ensuring clear understanding of work instructions, quality standards, and production targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards:Enforce compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

• Implement continuous improvement and innovation:Champion and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as leveraging lean tools, to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage team resources and budget:Manage team resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency and control costs.
