Job summary

Haworth, Inc. in Holland, MI is seeking a Team Leader for the 2nd shift (4x10) at our wood plant. You will lead a production team, manage daily schedules, monitor safety, quality and productivity, and coach team members to meet goals.

The role involves hands-on coverage and stepping in for the shift when needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 3 years in a team-based manufacturing environment, PIT certification, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) certification.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to lift/move products up to 50 pounds and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads team to meet safety, quality, schedule, cost, culture, and environmental goals through coaching and training.
• Launches daily/weekly schedules and assigns employees to meet production needs.
• Serves as communication conduit between leadership and line employees and maintains team boards.
• Conducts GEMBA walks and safety/quality audits and investigates issues.
• Resolves production problems and expedites parts to maintain schedule.
• Trains employees on new processes and maintains training records.
