Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding seeks a Station Manager for the Rochester, NY area. Lead the ROC station's P&L and operations, drive customer service excellence, and collaborate with global network partners to grow both local and network business.

You will steer staffing, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with company policies while promoting a culture of engagement and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of freight forwarding industry.
• Ability to take ownership and drive station solutions independently.
• Proven track record in people management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage Station's EBIT result.
• Ensure employee engagement and target best results.
• Improve customer satisfaction via Service First and process improvements.
• Drive GoGreen agenda.
• Act as legal representative of the station and liaison with local authorities.
• Lead negotiations with external suppliers and accompany sales visits as needed.
• Make hiring decisions at station level (next-level approvals may apply).
• Set and evaluate functional strategies, targets and adherence to policies.
