Job summary

Division of Administration/Office of Technology Services in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a senior IT leader to manage statewide systems and teams. You will oversee functional business support, application development, database administration, data warehouse, BI, and eEnrollment/IMPACT projects.

You will coordinate staffing, project priorities, and vendor relations, guiding changes and ensuring production readiness across critical health, enrollment, and financial systems statewide.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR an associate’s degree in information technology plus five years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR a bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus four years of experience in information technology or administrative services; OR a master’s degree plus four years of experience in information technology or administrative services.

Responsibilities

• Manages teams (contracted and OTS staff) providing business support, application development and maintenance, database administration, data warehouse, BI, e-commerce, eBusiness, imaging development, and statewide systems.
• Directs staff and coordinates priorities; conducts meetings to discuss problems and project status; interviews for vacancies and recommends hires to IT Director.
• Directs changes, testing, and implementation for statewide systems; evaluates impact of new policies on systems and coordinates production movements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or administrative services

Bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics

Master’s degree in information technology or administrative services

Associate’s degree in information technology
