Qualifications

• Five years of experience in information technology, program management, project management, or business analysis, or six years of full-time work in any field plus three years in IT/PM/BA.
• Associate’s degree in information technology plus three years of IT/PM/BA experience; OR bachelor’s degree plus three years in IT/PM/BA; OR bachelor’s with 24 credit hours in IT/CS/engineering/math/analytics plus two years in IT/PM/BA; OR master’s degree plus two years in IT/PM/BA.

Responsibilities

• Performs program management duties for highly complex IT initiatives, applying project management methodology, software development, QA, scope and risk assessments.
• Meets with Department management to coordinate project implementation with Undersecretaries and directors; may supervise multi-disciplined teams.
• Sets goals, project plans, objectives, and direction; handles budgeting, resource interviews, onboarding and time tracking; reports progress to management and leadership.
• Responds to budget requests; enhances PMO document library with templates for initiation, requirements, plans, timelines, training, testing, scope, dashboards, and risk management.
• Reviews potential impacts of new technologies; may review software products, tools, and training; develops specs and scope for requests and vendor negotiations.
• Performs special tasks; may assist higher level staff, direct teams in manager’s absence, and participate in RFP evaluation committees.
