Job summary

Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the system and user support team in Baton Rouge. You will oversee infrastructure, applications, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver secure, reliable services for educators across Louisiana.

The role requires extensive IT leadership experience, strategic planning, and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

Seven years of experience in information technology.
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in information technology.
An associate's degree in information technology plus five years of experience in information technology.
A bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in information technology.
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus four years of experience in information technology.
A master’s degree plus four years of experience in information technology.
Experience substitution: every 30 semester hours earned counts as one year of experience, up to 120 semester hours (max four years).
Certification in an approved area may be substituted for education/experience at hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

Network and Server Management – configure, monitor and troubleshoot network/server infrastructure.
Customer Service Skills – provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
Help Desk Software – use ticketing systems to manage and resolve issues.
Team Builder – lead and develop teams to achieve goals.
Coaching and Development – guide staff and identify skill gaps.
Technical Aptitude – communicate complex tech topics clearly to staff and stakeholders.
Creative – foster innovation, learning, and growth within the team.
Communication – strong oral and written communication.
