Job summary

State of Louisiana’s Division of Administration/Office of Technology Services is seeking an IT professional for the Applications and Data Management Section in the Greater Baton Rouge area. You will work closely with third‑party vendors and executive management to ensure consistent delivery of IT services.

The role involves technical consulting, design, development, and support of complex applications within the OTS technology stack, with opportunities for career progression to IT statewide

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in information technology.
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in information technology.
• Associate's degree in information technology plus three years of experience in information technology.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in information technology.
• Bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in an IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus two years of IT experience.
• Master’s degree plus two years of information technology experience.
• Experience substitution: 30 semester hours equals one year of experience, up to 120 semester hours (four years).
• Certification substitutions for education/experience may be used at hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical consultant functions for multiple, highly complex assigned program areas and applications.
• Provides development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of highly complex computer applications systems.
• Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs, modifies and documents new or existing applications using the OTS technology stack.
• Conducts meetings, creates action items, compiles meeting summaries and follows up with team members for completion of tasks.
• Functions in the capacity of higher level Information Technology management, as directed, in their absence.
• Responds to computer system emergencies and resolves problems independently or with others.
• Performs all other tasks, special projects, analyses, studies, and plans as directed.
