Job description

We are seeking a full-time State Account Manager (SAM), available at any Concordance location or fully remote. The primary role of the SAM is to grow new MMCAP and Private Sector business opportunities within their region or market segment, aiming to exceed budget and align with corporate strategies. The SAM will establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to identify new opportunities and secure contract awards. Responsibilities include maintaining existing business, closing new deals, and meeting objectives outlined in the corporate plan.

Essential Functions
  • Capture new business through contracts, sourcing, and expanding existing contract vehicles to drive profitable revenue exceeding goals.
  • Present Concordance’s value proposition to Private Sector customers and attend industry networking events.
  • Develop relationships within supply chains and with internal/external stakeholders to facilitate business growth.
  • Execute strategies for the Private Sector market segment to meet financial and sales targets.
  • Report on performance, industry trends, and best practices to senior management.
  • Be a market disrupter by closing profitable sales and increasing market share.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with customers and government agencies.
  • Work autonomously, quickly learning our systems and value proposition.
  • Travel up to 70% as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of State Government Sales experience.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of procurement methods and GPO contracting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and work across geographies.
  • Successful passing of background and drug screening.
Work Location & Compensation
  • Location: Concordance office or fully remote.
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000.
