Job description

We are seeking a full-time State Account Manager (SAM), available at any Concordance location or fully remote. The primary role of the SAM is to grow new MMCAP and Private Sector business opportunities within their region or market segment, aiming to exceed budget and align with strategic objectives. The SAM will develop relationships with key decision-makers, identify new opportunities, and secure contract awards. Responsibilities include maintaining existing business, closing new deals, and meeting corporate goals.


Essential Functions
  1. Capture new business through contracts, sourcing, and expanding existing contract vehicles to drive profitable revenue.
  2. Present Concordance's value proposition to Private Sector customers.
  3. Participate in MMCAP/State Government healthcare networking events.
  4. Build relationships with supply chain members and internal/external customers and suppliers.
  5. Execute strategies for the Private Sector market segment to meet financial and sales goals.
  6. Provide performance and industry insights to senior management.
  7. Travel up to 70% as required.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of State Government Sales experience.
  • Strong team player with leadership qualities and customer focus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Private Sector government agencies and procurement methods.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of State Government buying practices and contract requirements.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Successful background check and drug screening.

Work Location and Compensation
  • Location: Concordance office or fully remote.
  • Salary: $90,000 - $135,000.
