Job Opening: Full-Time State Account Manager

Location: Any Concordance location or fully remote

The State Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for growing new MMCAP and Private Sector business opportunities within their region or market segment. The role focuses on profitability, exceeding budgets, building relationships with key decision-makers, and securing new contracts. The SAM maintains existing business, closes new deals, and aligns with corporate strategic objectives.

Essential Functions
  1. Capture new business by securing contracts, sourcing products/services, and expanding existing contracts to drive profitable revenue.
  2. Present Concordance’s value proposition to Private Sector customers.
  3. Represent Concordance at MMCAP/State Government healthcare supply chain events.
  4. Develop and nurture relationships with supply chain members, customers, and suppliers.
  5. Execute strategies to meet financial and sales goals for the Private Sector market segment.
  6. Report on performance, growth opportunities, industry trends, and best practices to senior management.
  7. Be a market disrupter by closing profitable sales and increasing market share.
  8. Conduct in-person meetings with government and private sector personnel.
  9. Work autonomously, quickly learning systems and value propositions.
  10. Build trusted advisor relationships with existing and new customers.
  11. Coordinate with vendor relations for support, new products, and promotions.
  12. Attend industry and customer events as needed.
  13. Collaborate with leadership to share information and strategies.
  14. Travel overnight up to 70% as required.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of State Government Sales experience.
  • Team-oriented with a strong culture fit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Private Sector government agencies and procurement processes.
  • Professional selling skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of State purchasing practices.
  • Ability to interpret RFPs, SOWs, and related documents.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proven business development and account management experience across multiple geographies.
  • Successful passing of background checks and drug screening.
Work Location & Compensation

Location: Concordance location or fully remote

Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000
