Job description

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a State Account Manager, available at any Concordance location or fully remote. The primary role of the State Account Manager (SAM) is to grow new MMCAP and Private Sector business opportunities in their region or market segment, promoting profitability that exceeds budget and aligns with strategic objectives. The SAM will establish relationships with key decision makers and influencers to identify and secure new contracts, maintain existing business, and meet corporate goals.

Essential Functions:
  1. Capture new business through contracts, sourcing, and expanding existing contract vehicles to drive profitable revenue.
  2. Present Concordance’s value proposition to private sector customers and attend healthcare networking events.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with supply chain members, customers, and suppliers to facilitate new contracts and responses.
  4. Execute strategies for the private sector to achieve financial and sales objectives.
  5. Provide senior management with insights on performance, growth opportunities, industry trends, and best practices.
  6. Be a market disruptor by closing profitable sales and increasing market share.
  7. Conduct in-person meetings with private sector personnel and government agencies.
  8. Work independently, learning systems quickly, and building strong relationships.
  9. Coordinate with vendor relations for support and promotional activities.
  10. Attend industry conferences and internal meetings as needed.
  11. Collaborate with leadership in business development efforts.
  12. Travel overnight up to 70% or as required.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of State Government Sales experience.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of MMCAP/State procurement and GPO contracting.
  • Experience in business development and account management across multiple regions.
  • Ability to interpret SOWs, RFPs, RFQs, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to build professional relationships and maintain credibility.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening.
Work Location:
  • Location flexible: in-office or fully remote.

Compensation: $90,000 - $135,000 annually.
