Job Opportunity: Full-Time State Account Manager

We are seeking a State Account Manager (SAM), either at any Concordance location or fully remote. The primary role of the SAM is to grow new MMCAP and Private Sector business opportunities within their region or market segment, aiming to exceed budget and align with corporate strategies. The SAM will build relationships with key decision makers and influencers, identify new opportunities, and secure contract awards. Responsibilities include maintaining existing business, closing new deals, and meeting corporate goals.

Essential Functions
  • Capture new market share through contracts, sourcing, and expanding existing contracts to drive profitable revenue.
  • Present Concordance's value proposition to Private Sector customers.
  • Attend MMCAP/State Government healthcare networking events.
  • Develop relationships with supply chain members and build trust with customers and suppliers.
  • Execute strategies for the Private Sector market to meet financial and sales targets.
  • Report on performance, growth opportunities, industry trends, and best practices to senior management.
  • Be a market disrupter by closing profitable sales and gaining market share.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with private sector personnel and government agencies.
  • Work independently, quickly learning systems and value propositions.
  • Travel up to 70% as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of State Government Sales experience.
  • Team-oriented with a strong company culture.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Private Sector government agencies and procurement methods.
  • Professional selling and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of State Government buying practices and ability to interpret procurement documents.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proven business development experience across multiple regions.
  • Clear background check and drug screening.
Work Location & Compensation

Location: Concordance site or fully remote.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000.
