Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations specialist to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups. You will train drivers and managers, setup processes, and support ongoing field operations. Travel is extensive (about 75-80%), with assignments nationwide for fixed periods.

You will also author process documents, test systems, and provide design-level consulting for new product features. Strong leadership and multi-tasking are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• At least 2 years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• At least 1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office is required; advanced skills preferred.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Understanding of local and federal regulations is required (customer/company).
• Fundamental knowledge of SCM components; strong manufacturing knowledge.
• Advanced manufacturing/production knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup projects and ensure flawless execution per CSFs.
• Train drivers and managers on core operations and systems.
• Answer questions and support quick decision-making during startups.
• Train new management and Certified Driver Trainer groups.
• Build process flows and ensure operational consistency.
