Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations team member to serve as a setup consultant for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing Field Operations support.

You will train drivers and managers, write process documentation, perform system testing, and participate in design-level consulting for product enhancements. Travel is extensive (75–80%), with deployments to new locations nationwide for defined periods.

Qualifications

• Two years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field.
• One year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required; advanced level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors.
• Ensuring both drivers and managers understand the core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Building out process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations.
