Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operation member (SET Ops) to manage new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing field support. You will train drivers and managers, document processes, test systems, and provide design-level consulting for product enhancements.

Travel is extensive, around 75–80%, with assignments nationwide. You will prioritize tasks, guide operations, and coordinate with leadership to ensure flawless execution and adherence to customer success factors during

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two years+ relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field required.
• One year+ direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required; advanced.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Knowledge of local and Federal regulations (customer/company) advanced required.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components (intermediate).
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production (advanced).

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and meeting customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, pay, and billing.
• Act as an extension of management to answer questions and make quick startup decisions.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and guide consistency of operations.
