Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operation team member to serve as a setup consultant for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing field support. You will train drivers and managers, draft process documents, test systems, and advise on design-level product enhancements.

Expect 75-80% travel nationwide to new locations for fixed durations. Candidates must manage multiple tasks, support fast-paced environments, and demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 1+ year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required; advanced.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations; advanced.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components; intermediate.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production; advanced.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, pay, and billing.
• Act as management extension to answer questions and make quick startup decisions.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flows and ensure consistent operations.
