Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations team member to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and support field operations. You will train drivers and managers on core systems, write process docs, and assist in design-level product improvements.

Travel is extensive (75–80%), with assignments to new business locations nationwide. You must be willing to relocate for defined periods and operate under startup guidelines to ensure flawless execution and customer success.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• At least 2 years in supply chain/logistics/warehouse or related field.
• At least 1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Advanced MS Office skills required.
• Advanced logistics industry knowledge.
• Advanced understanding of local and federal regulations.
• Intermediate knowledge of supply chain components.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Building out process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations.
