Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Startup Operations team member to lead new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and provide ongoing field support.

The role involves training drivers and managers on system operations, writing process docs, and contributing to design-level consulting for product enhancements. Extensive travel (75–80%) to new business locations nationwide is required for defined periods.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One year or more direct supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office required with advanced level.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced.
• Knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations advanced.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components intermediate.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during startup phase.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
