Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations (SET Ops) member to lead setup consulting for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions startups and ongoing field support. Travel 75-80% nationwide; you may be assigned to a new location for a period and cannot commute home during that time.

You will train management and driver trainers, define process flows, and support operations with a focus on compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Two years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field.
• One year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations advanced required.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components intermediate required.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to customer critical success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
