Job summary

SpaceX's Starbase in Texas seeks a Material Flow Engineer to analyze and optimize the receiving, storage, movement, and presentation of materials for Starship programs.

You will design layouts, develop lean material flow strategies, perform time studies, and collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to ensure safe, cost-effective material handling and on-time production targets. This role requires onsite work and may require extended hours to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 1+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (internship and school projects qualify).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement material flow strategies from receipt to lineside and reverse logistics as needed.
• Develop layouts for material flow and storage to achieve inventory targets and high part density.
• Create labor and equipment models; perform time studies to improve efficiency.
• Develop cost effective packaging solutions for vendors and Starbase facilities.
• Use Excel/Tableau/SQL to analyze data and report on flow performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety standards; lead training for new processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain on cross‑functional projects.
