Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Materials Flow Engineer at Starbase, TX, to analyze and optimize the receiving, storage, movement, and presentation of materials across flight and non-flight programs supporting Starship objectives.

You will apply lean principles, data analytics, and project management to design efficient layouts, develop resource plans, and ensure safe, cost-effective material handling in a high paced aerospace environment at Starbase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (internships/work projects qualify).
• Experience with material flow engineering solutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement material flow strategies from receipt to lineside and reverse logistics as needed.
• Develop layouts for material flow and storage to achieve inventory targets and density.
• Develop labor and equipment models to match material flow plans and improve efficiency.
• Create cost-effective packaging solutions and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
• Analyze data using Excel/Tableau/SQL to monitor metrics and drive improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead safety training related to Materials Management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain across the company.
