Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced Material Flow Engineer to analyze, design and optimize receiving, storage, movement, and presentation of materials at Starbase to enable Starship objectives.

The role requires applying lean flow principles, data analytics, modeling and project management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective material handling across programs at Starbase, TX. Onsite work is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (internship and school projects qualify).
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar for layout design.
• Experience with data analysis tools and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize material flow from receipt to lineside and any reverse logistics required.
• Develop and implement layouts for material flow and storage to achieve inventory targets.
• Create labor and equipment models and conduct time studies to improve efficiency.
• Develop packaging solutions for inter-vendor and internal flow that optimize landed cost.
• Utilize data tools (Excel, Tableau, SQL) to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead training to meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to align targets.
