Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Material Flow Engineer for Starbase, responsible for designing and optimizing the movement, storage and presentation of materials across flight and non-flight programs. You will use lean methods, data analytics and project management to support Starship production goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1+ years in a manufacturing environment. Onsite at Starbase, TX with opportunities to collaborate across SpaceX teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing (internships/test projects count).
• Experience with material flow, layout planning or packaging design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize material flow from receipt to lineside and reverse logistics.
• Plan factory and warehouse layouts to optimize inventory and density.
• Develop labor and equipment models to match material flow strategies.
• Develop cost-effective packaging solutions and coordinate with vendors.
• Use data tools to analyze performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and training for new processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain on cross-functional projects.
