We are seeking a senior backend engineer to set technical strategy for your team, design scalable systems in Python or Kotlin, and own reliability with AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes. Remote-first, high-impact role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Background in financial systems, ledgering or treasury.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics on sustainability and risks.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, playbooks and on-call readiness.
• Set code review standards and mentor engineers.
