Job summary

Affirm's Ledger Engineering team builds audit-grade ledger platforms to support scalable, accurate financial interactions in a remote-first environment. We seek a senior backend engineer to set technical strategy for the team over a year and to drive high-impact projects.

You'll collaborate across product, design and analytics, own operations and on-call readiness, and champion quality through code reviews and standards, while mentoring teammates and shaping the architecture of large-scale

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with Python or Kotlin.
• Extensive track record of highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Experience in financial systems, ledgering, treasury or related domains where data accuracy and reliability are critical.
• Ability to translate features into technical plans and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
