Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software powering clinician experiences and performance management. You will architect large distributed systems, set technical direction, and elevate engineering standards through mentorship.

You will work with modern frontend and backend stacks, cloud platforms, and AI-assisted tools to ship scalable solutions. Expect cross-functional collaboration, travel quarterly, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering: problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency.
• Experience as a polyglot software engineer across multiple languages (C++, C#, Java, Golang, Javascript/Typescript, Python).
• 6+ months of experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Experience with full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Deep experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS) and full-stack patterns.
• Strong experience with cloud vendors (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Clear and effective communication; ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
• 7-10 years of work experience; growth mindset; collaboration; execution; BI.
