Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences. You will architect and build highly distributed systems, set technical direction across the team, and mentor teammates to raise the engineering bar.

This hands-on role requires expertise across multiple languages, strong SQL, cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and front-end technologies (React/TypeScript).

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering: problem solving, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
• 6+ months using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Experience with full-stack development for large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Designing and operating distributed systems end-to-end in production.
• Experience with front-end tech: React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS.
• Experience with cloud vendors: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
