Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead hands-on design and delivery of enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences. You will architect highly distributed systems, set technical direction, and mentor the team across cross-functional partners.

You will ship scalable solutions using modern tech such as React, TypeScript, Python, and cloud services on Azure/AWS/GCP, while driving performance, security, and quality in production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering with data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Experience in multiple programming languages (polyglot) and full-stack development.
• 6+ months of experience using AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity.
• Experience with full-stack development to ship large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS) and full-stack patterns.
• Experience with cloud vendors (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Excellent communication.
• Willingness to travel quarterly.
• 7-10 years of work experience.
