Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences and performance management. You will architect and build highly distributed systems, set technical direction, and mentor teams across the organization.

With 7–10 years of experience and proficiency in multiple languages, you will contribute to full-stack development, cloud platforms, and BI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering: data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency.
• Experience as a polyglot software engineer across C++, C#, Java, Golang, Javascript, Typescript, Python or similar.
• 6+ months of AI-assisted development tools usage (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Experience with full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS) and full-stack patterns.
• Strong cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Clear, effective communication; travel readiness.
• 7-10 years of work experience.
• Adept at problem solving, collaboration, growth mindset, execution and BI.
