Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead and contribute to enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences and performance management. The role involves architecting highly distributed systems, setting technical direction, and mentoring teams across the organization.

You will work with modern tech stacks including full-stack development, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), and data-driven BI.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering: problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency.
• Experience as a polyglot software engineer with multiple languages.
• 6+ months using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Experience with full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and RDBMS knowledge (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with modern frontend (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS) and full-stack patterns.
• Strong cloud experience: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Clear communication and willingness to travel quarterly.
• 7-10 years of work experience.
