CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Minnesota to lead and deliver enterprise‑grade clinician‑facing software. You will architect distributed systems, guide technical direction, and mentor team members while partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders.

This hands‑on role emphasizes scalable design, performance, and maintainability, with opportunities to work across cloud platforms and modern front‑end and back‑end stacks.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering: problem solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, concurrency.
• Experience as a polyglot software engineer across multiple languages (C++, C#, Java, Golang, Javascript, Typescript, Python, etc.).
• 6+ months of experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Experience using full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
• Deep experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems end-to-end in production.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and full-stack patterns.
• Strong experience with cloud vendors: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
• 7-10 years of work experience.
• Adept at problem solving, collaboration, and delivery.
• Adept at business intelligence.
