Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade software powering clinician-facing experiences and performance management. You will architect highly distributed systems, set technical direction, and mentor cross-functional teams to raise the engineering bar.

This hands-on leadership role requires 7-10 years of experience, experience with polyglot languages, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), and strong full-stack and BI skills.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software engineering and problem solving.
• Experience as a polyglot engineer with multiple languages.
• 6+ months of experience using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Experience with full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Deep experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems end-to-end in production environments.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JS) and full-stack patterns.
• Strong experience with cloud vendors: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to travel quarterly or as needed.
• 7-10 years of work experience.
