Job summary

Commure's Air Billing team is building AI-native software to make medical billers dramatically more productive. This staff role sets the technical direction for a multi-team rebuild across frontend (React 19 / TypeScript) and backend (Python/FastAPI + PostgreSQL) that serves millions of claims in a high-stakes healthcare workflow.

You’ll lead architecture decisions, establish patterns, and mentor engineers to raise the bar as the product scales and adoption grows within the RCM org.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building large-scale, full-stack applications with multi-team impact.
• Strong frontend leadership and design-system adoption across orgs.
• Deep TS/React, Python and PostgreSQL expertise with performance focus.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the biller-workflow platform across frontend and backend.
• Establish standards, patterns, API contracts, testing, and observability practices.
• Lead cross-team, end-to-end projects and drive data-dense, scalable features.
• Ensure reliability and performance in production for biller workflows.
• Mentor engineers, review architecture, and raise the technical bar across teams.
