Job summary

Commure is building an AI-native operating system for healthcare, enabling faster, safer administrative workflows. You will shape the Staff Software Product Engineer role, guiding a generational rebuild of biller-workflow surfaces with a multi-team platform approach.

You’ll own architecture across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL) and drive performance, reliability, and data-rich user experiences for high-volume claims processing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building large-scale, full-stack applications.
• Org-wide frontend leadership — orchestrated adoption of a design system or shared component architecture.
• Strong API and data-layer design for REST endpoints with filtering, grouping, and pagination.
• Track record leading multi-month, multi-team initiatives and platform migrations.
• A force multiplier — sets conventions, reviews broadly, mentors engineers.
• Strong debugging and observability instincts — monitoring, logging, alerting best practices.
• Excellent communication — aligns leadership and multiple engineering teams around a shared direction.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript/React, Python, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the biller-workflow platform across multiple teams.
• Establish standards and patterns for components, data-fetching, APIs, testing, and observability.
• Lead hard cross-cutting problems end-to-end with multiple teams.
• Ensure engineering excellence through architecture reviews and deep code reviews.
• Own reliability and performance in production for biller surfaces.
