Job summary

Pomelo Care is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to define and guide the technical direction of our AI-powered care platform. You will mentor engineers, design scalable systems, and ship high-impact features that empower clinicians and improve patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years shipping software, expertise in modern languages, and experience with React/Vue.js. You will collaborate with product, clinical teams, and AI initiatives, while upholding engineering excellence and growth

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality, scalable software systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in system and relational database design; proficient in one or more languages (Java, C#, Kotlin, Python, Go, etc.).
• Experience guiding technical teams in applications using modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide technical direction; design, build, and scale Pomelo’s platform.
• Lead and mentor engineers to ship high-impact features with scalable architectures.
• Drive AI-powered tooling and agents to improve clinician efficiency and care quality.
• Partner with product and clinical leadership to shape technical strategy and opportunities.
• Foster a culture of excellence, learning, and strong engineering discipline.
